For Eagle 550 and newer systems which use a CMOS boot configuration, the DAT drive must

be defined as the alternate boot device in the CMOS Setup Menu. Refer to your system

Owner's

Manual

for more details on modifying the CMOS configuration.

When you use CRT620 to create a warm boot tape, the tape can include only the necessary

programs and drivers to perform a warm boot and be minimally operational. You cannot save any

data files to the tape.

RUNNING SELF TEST

Now that the DAT drive has been installed and your system is up and running, you may want to run the

system self test to be sure your computer is operating correctly. Refer to your computer Owner's Manual

for complete step-by-step instructions and interpretation of the self test.

AM-647 DAT DRIVE STATUS LEDS

The front panel of the AM-647 DAT drive has two status LEDs. One LED indicates drive status, while

the other LED indicates cassette status. These two indicators provide operational information for normal

as well as error conditions.
