DESKSIDE CHASSIS

This section describes how to install the Wide SCSI cable kit (PDB-00440-70) in a deskside chassis.

While your computer's hardware is exposed and the AC power cord is unplugged, the components

are vulnerable to damage caused by static discharge. Before you handle any computer hardware,

make certain your work area is properly protected against static discharge.

Removing the Chassis Cover

1. Power down your computer and unplug the power cord.

2. At the rear of the computer, remove the four screws that attach the top cover to the chassis.

3. Slide the top cover back and lift the rear edge up (as indicated by the arrows on Figure 3, below).

Remove the cover and place it out of the way.
